He does have alot of decision wins but let´s hope for a finish this time. Zimmerman fights usually end with a bang.

Errol always has a chance but Verhoeven will probably shut him down.

Also excited about the welterweight tournament, even though I think Nieky Holzken got a shitty deal, he earned his title shot already.

It´s impressive that Verhoeven is born in 1989 but already a smart and stable fighter. Zimmerman (2012) and Saddik (2011) are the only fighters to stop him.

He could eventually start knocking people out aswell, wear them down over the course of 5 rounds and get late stoppages, like you said he's young.

I was there live at his first fight with Errol though, that knockout was ridiculous !

Cool that you saw it live at It's Showtime. Their events were great, how much was the ticket?

Yeah it was great, small, I think there were about 5000 people there but they made noise for 50 000.

I dont really remember the ticket price but I think it was about €130-150,-

As a Dutch how do feel about Glory buying It´s Showtime and Golden Glory? I rather see kickboxing in Holland/europe than in the US.

I like Glory and I think it has the potential to be something great. Them going to America has it's upsides and downsides. I'd like to see Glory be a succesful worldwide organisation, right now they might be putting a little to much focus on America but they have to start somewhere.

They definately should not forget Europe. The Netherlands is a different story, I would love it if there were more events here, especially because so many great Kickboxers come from here but the media and government is trying to kill the sport here with constant accusations and assocations with organized crime. Always showing the negative, never the positive, very frustrating.

There has been some shit with criminals involved with combat sports but if Glory put the same effort in promoting kickboxing in the Netherlands as they´ve done in USA people would be more positive.

Yeah but almost no city in the Netherlands will allow (big) Kickboxing events anymore. So they probably won't even be able to host an event. The last big one was the Hari vs Saki It's Showtime event in 2012.

Last minute sums it up pretty good. While other promotions like Superkombat and FFC have little problem in booking events/fighters far ahead Glory is amateurish and makes everything last minute.

Glory should've never took things to PPV so soon. They obviously lost a good bit of money because things have been looking grim ever since then. We were getting cards consistently and great fights on every one of them. They make that one major mistake and you're lucky to hear anything about upcoming cards two weeks out.

They put too much focus on the US and they're paying for it. They should be doing a majority of their shows in Europe and maybe a card in the US every quarter of the year.

Post by TeamJohnPerretti on Mon Dec 22, 2014 1:51 pm

GLORY has confirmed that the promotion’s upcoming, 19th event will go down February 6th at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia. As expected, the card will feature heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven taking on Errol Zimmerman in the main event.

The bout will mark the third time the heavyweights have fought, as Zimmerman took their first encounter in 2012 by KO, and more recently in 2013, Verhoeven avenged the loss via unanimous decision.

Verhoeven (44-9) is coming off a UD win over Daniel Ghita last June, and Zimmerman (103-11-1) stopped Anderson Silva in his last outing this past May.

GLORY 19′s main card will be broadcast on SPIKE, and it will also feature a one night, welterweight tourney. The competitors have yet to be announced.

Hampton is a pretty random locale but I have family up around there. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to check it out.
