If we only had grappling like this in north American MMA & BJJ/ADCC grappling everywhere

Rustam, with his pure Russian wrestling meets Sambo submission wrestling, is the modern day Ricardo Arona.  His speed, power & athelticism is off the charts like Arona's were. The mix of high level wrestling in with thier grappling really sets them apart. Rustam is 1-0 MMA.

Like Arona, Rustams top game is just stunning. His takedowns are f***'d up. The best in the world brazilians he's faced are overwhelmed by him.

To me this is how submision grappling was meant to be fought. And again, like with Arona the off the charts TD's & top control ccaan completely shutdown the new breed MMA guys and their fighting styles.

Enjoy...

P.S. - I really wish some Russian/Uzbek/Dagestani/Chechen/& other former-USSR republic Olympic champion-level guys would come to MMA to decimate the Brazilians & Americans sporting their NCAA post-secondary school non-international level wrestling... Or, also-ran US Olympic team members of a secondary wrestling nation.

Great grappling techniques. It´s so much better without striking involved and of course no dry humping to score points.

Rustam's aggressive top control wrestling style is a complete anomaly in no-gi grappling. All the top brazilians and others scoot on their butts endlessly trying to pull guard and then hang on, That = very few sub attempts = very many decisions = not that fun to watch. Hence Rickson trying to rewrite the current submission grappling competiton book.

Combat wrestling is coming, and catch wrestling is here.
