Bellator brilliance

Post by nhbnews on Fri Feb 27, 2015 10:19 am

Going to Mohegan Sun in the dead of winter, where it will be about 1F tonight.

Doing a "British Invasion" angle, like anybody cares.

Burying their interesting title fight between Newton and McGeary in this mess.

Having Mo move up to heavyweight in a meaningless fight.

The disgrace of Ken vs. Kimbo.

Hiring fans to fill the seats, like it wouldn't get out on the Internet.

Not producing any contenders for titles by completely eliminating tournaments.

Spike was the network that gave us the idiotic and vulgar TUF. Now that their fake 'wrestling' show has failed, they think they can keep that audience of idiots with Bellator.

Spike TV only care for ratings not the integrity of the sport or the fighters

I can't wait for them to hype up Ken vs. Kimbo on tonight's show.

I want to see if the announcers can talk about the fight without laughing.

I've always like Jimmy Smith as an announcer.

He proved he is a true professional last night. He got through the Kimbo/Ken Shamrock interview without giggling or laughing. Congrats to him.

That interview was also put over the speaker system for the crowd to hear. There was zero crowd reaction for Kimbo/Shamrock or their fight.

During that interview they had the people behind them stand up to hide empty seats.

They also placed Tito in the first row so his giant head would block out all the empty seats

Film extras do what they are told (I've done it once. It was awight. For a movie, not for a fight card.)

That was a good method on their part.

Theme is just a gimmick. No one take the theme seriously it just way to get people in the seat.
