UFC promoting more male/female violence

Post by TeamJohnPerretti on Tue Apr 21, 2015 10:51 am

UFC boss Dana White was adamant today when he insisted that Conor McGregor and absolutely any UFC fighter could beat Floyd Mayweather. Could it be that he's worried about boxing making a comeback — and pounding MMA?

White really meant any UFC fighter, even pointing to a female fighter, Paige VanZant, as she went by during his talk with TMZ at a UFC event in New Jersey, insisting she could beat Mayweather.

Other MMA fighters were passing as they spoke and White kept pointing at 'em and saying they could pound Money Mayweather.

"Any of these guys would beat Mayweather," White told TMZ. "All of these guys would beat Mayweather. Not just Conor, she’d beat Mayweather (that's when VanZant walked by).

"Boxing is just one thing. These guys do everything. Every one of these guys would kick Mayweather’s ass."

Those are strong fighting words and just maybe it's a bit of "me think thou doth protest too much." (Which is likely the first time Shakespeare's been quoted in relation to MMA [Hamlet, 1602]).

After all, there is a direct link between the rise of MMA and the demise — okay, too strong — of boxing.
But this one bout could bring back a whole lot of boxing fans and could cause a lot of young males to look at the sport in a new light. The combination of Mayweather and Pacquiao is predicted to set records, to become the highest grossing fight in history, with more PPV fans then even MMA could muster.

Hence Dana White's boasting.

The whole thing about MMA fighters taking on Floyd Mayweather started earlier in the week when up and coming MMA fighter McGregor said he'd finish-off Mayweather in "under 30 seconds." Mayweather dismissed him as someone looking for PR, which is surely the case.

White will be at the Mayweather - Pacquiao fight in Las Vegas on May 2.

It's absolutely disgusting the way the UFC is regularily bringing up the idea of having male/female matches.

UFC is a pathetic organization and their product is geared for the low class, low intelligence crowd.

Dana brought up Ronda fighting male fighters at different weight classes while at the same time Ronda was avoiding Cyborg because of a 5 pound difference in weight.
