Great fight for how short notice it is.

Hope one gets some of these shooto guys to challenge for the title in the near future.

Luis Santos misses weight for Ben Askren rematch

When asked for a status on "Askren vs. Santos," ONE Championship CEO Victor Cui told that the decision to move forward with a catchweight bout is entirely up to Askren, who is expected to make up his mind at some point within the next 12 hours.

"Askren put in the hard work and made weight," Cui said. "It really is unbelievable to see Sapo be so unprofessional and have complete disregard of what it means to be a professional fighter competing at the highest levels of MMA."

Full "Pride of Lions" weigh in results below:

This sucks. What's going on this year? It seems like we're constantly seeing champions or challengers missing weight.

I know this is ridiculous.  This was a huge title rematch that is pretty degraded now, even if it does happen, since title is not on the line. There is also a possibility the fight will be cancelled but I really doubt that.

Didn't ben say that if sappo can't make under 190 in 24 hours then the fight is off? My opinion i think there should be a limit on how much weight a fighter can cut i mean some of those guys cut a stupid amount weight . Why it is bad for their health in the long run yeah i know so they will have the size advantage going into the fight .

And lets them make sponsor money from as many sponsors as they choose.

Pay is same as UFC if u a prospect but the sponsor money is double or triple.

I agree. It worked out great for Anthony Johnson. He went from 170 to 205 and even fought at HW. Sapo should go to MW.

I suppose you already saw it but according to ben , sappo was in the hotel lobby stuffing his face for an hour and half then went to the hopital to try and get an iv and the dr said there was nothing wrong with him .

I read about him eating in the hotel afterward but did not hear about the IV at the hospital. That's pretty crazy.
