Tho minakov and volkov are cool additions to the show if true.

Can't wait for more matches to be announcef.

Wand would be a great addition for NYE. Tito Ortiz would be a real solid opponent as would Shlemenko.

Maybr a title fight against Lashley?

3 weeks ago Minakov subbed Geronimo Dos Santos in round 1 by arm bar. There was a video on Youtube. Was a good sub.

Yeah, no kidding. If Minowa isn't in this GP he should at least be fighting Pudz.

M-1 LHW champion Stephan Pütz (13-1) is ready to fight ‎Fedor ‎Emelianenko‬.

28 years old Stephan Puetz is now one of the best MMA fighters ourside the UFC. Earlier in May 2015, he successfully defeated M-1 Global HW champ Marcin Tybura and proved that he can compete not only with lightheavyweights, but with heavyweights also.

Puetz is a well-rounded MMA fighter. He is confident both in stand-up and parter. His record contains approximately equal amount of KO and submission wins (6 and 4 consequtively).

"I'm machine, - uses to talk in his interviews Stephan Puetz, - Machines don't get tired".

And who do you root for in this theoretical fight: Stephan Puetz vs. Fedor Emelianenko?

There was some UFC former fighter who use to be a good college football player and good all around athlete calling out Fedor recently.

Don't remember what his name is.

That would be a tough fight. He took out Tybura which was surprising.

At the DEEP 73 held at Korakuen Hall today, Nobuyuki Sakakibara from RIZIN FF (Fighting Federations) revealed to the reporters about "talking to (Tsuyoshi "TK") Kosaka on various things".

According to Sakakibara, from earlier this year, UFC / PRIDE veteran "began thinking about making a comeback so if I can make an adjustment Kosaka can be in the NYE show."

Kosaka made a pro MMA debut back in 1995. Signed with UFC in 1998, defeated Kimo Leopold in his Octagon debut. In his second UFC fight, Kosaka beat Pete Williams which led to a heavyweight showdown against Bas Rutten in UFC 18. Kosaka was winning a fight in the beginning but ended up getting TKO'd at little over 14-minute mark.

Kosaka also fought for PRIDE from 2005 to 2006. He faced Fedor Emelianenko, Mario Sperry and Mark Hunt. He posted 1-2 record and retired in 2006.

Kosaka is 45-year old now but Sakakibara mentioned, "he said he is in best condition of his life and that is including his active pro years".

Kosaka recently became a "known name" among Japan's general public because he served as special coach of Japanese Ruby team that became a social phenomenon in Japan because of the couple of the upsets team has achieved in the Rugy World Cup 2015.

Meaning, at least, from the point of view of TV ratings, Kosaka can be a good addition to RIZIN show on New Year's Eve.

Kohsaka would be nice as long as it's not Fedor. Kohsaka is one of those legends that really doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Yuki Motoya confirmed for the card.

His participation was announced following his title fight victory at Deep 73 on 10/17.

Singh and Carlos Toyota are both expected to be on the card.

Sakakibara stated that neither will be an opponent for Fedor as neither is on the proper level.

Sakakibara said he would like to offer Koki Kameda a fight on the card.

Koki just retired from boxing after losing a title challenge this past Saturday in Chicago.

Motoya is a real solid addition. I just hope RIZIN puts more focus on the heavier weight classes where there are more finishes.

I read the article on my phone earlier, and I missed a couple points.

Sergei Kharitonov is mentioned by the writer, in a speculative fashion, as a potention Fedor opponent.

Also, Tsuyoshi Kosaka is mentioned as having a likely comeback for the event.

No, I don't blame them at all. Just fighters are coming out of the wood work the past week or so trying to get a fight with him. If UFC had faith in their champ, they would work a co-promotion with RIZIN to make the biggest fight in MMA history and try to rejuvenate MMA in Japan.

Would be great to see him fight Sergei.  I think the biggest ratings would be a fight with Randy or Lesnar though. Any of the three would be awesome.
