39 world sambo championships on Sunday in Casablanca ended and Kirill Sidelnikov fifth time became the world champion in combat sambo.
As previous 37 competitions in sambo and this was dominated by the Russians. Only the Georgians in 1997 at home managed to win the most gold medals.
Kirill Sidelnikov won the fifth title of world champion in combat sambo in the category of over 100 kilograms. 'Baby Fedor' in the quarterfinals eliminated Croat Josip Matkovic, in the semifinals he eliminated his long-time rival Bulgaria's Martin Marinkov.
In the final harder than the score (7:1) suggests Sidelnikov beat Korean Sang Soo Lee but he welcomed the end of the match injured.
Another well-known MMA fighter took the gold. Former M-1 champion Vyacheslav Vasilevsky won in combat sambo in the 90kg by beating Bulgarian Marijan Dimitrov.
