Fighters/Coaches/Gyms should organize, expand, get more involved in the promotion aspect of things.

i'm started to notice that. The only huge corporation is viacom. if viacom left it give example to other cororations  what happen in mma. local show barely even make end meet on making money. the only indy show aka international show do show about 12 show  5 depend on the promotion.

Success of MMA organizations depends on tv contracts.
SPIKE(VIACOM) is owner of Bellator so they put their org on their tv.

If I was owner of CBS I would put my MMA org on CBS and I bet it would be watched by millions and would become HUGE brand.

The best proof of this above is PrideFC who was the biggest org in world with Fuji TV and was done without it.

It works like that everywhere! M-1 global=Putin order(because of Fedor)

Final Fight Championship became big in Croatia because Orsat Zovko who owns FFC also owns cable channel. Also Orsat now sold part of company to US cable company and that cable company will put FFC on their network.

If you want to be big in MMA world better know some TV people!!!

in pro  wrestling business no wanted to give a tv deal to pro wrestling . it could happen to mma unless you are ufc. Even you get tv deal for channel you could be  on  channel 490  and no one is watching your product like WSOF. IPPV are low market to display your product.

I wouldn´t invest money in mma, especially not in a new or small promotion. KSW is probably an alright investment as well as Bellator and M-1. If Rizin becomes a success then there´s some money to be made there as well.

If I could dictate the way mma is going I would like to get rid of most promotions except Rizin and make it the style vs style Olympics of combat sports. Let all martial artists compete in regular combat sports like kickboxing, sambo, judo, boxing, bjj etc and invite the best from each discipline to compete against each other in Rizin Grand Prix.

It depends on what level you are talking about investing. I like what Offense_Wins_Fights says. If someone lends money to a promoter to invest a little more in production, marketing, and quality free agents they will have succesful shows and make that money back. However, on a large scale buying stock will not help big corporations like Zuffa for example because their stock value will not increase enough to make it a worthwhile investment

There are no stock to be purchased. You could buy stock in Viacom. I know Zuffa is, and am guessing Bellator as well, are private companies.

A lot of small MMA promotions are like fly-by-night types of things. Investing in a small org would probably be to get a piece of that action. It could be as a venture capital type thing, but that's a little bit more doubtful, because of the nature of things.

Investors who do exist would be insiders.

Aside from that are loans, which aren't really the same thing as an investment.

most mma events dont even make a return if that so just no point unless a rich investor is a fan of the sport and has money to burn
