If they only do 4 events in a year they need to stop bunching two on NYE, too much time between events.

My opinion i think they should do it every 3 months March ,June , September ,december but I also say they should for the unknowns or the amatuers they should do those every 2 month's after a number of bouts they can fight in with the big boys . Instead of having a person who has just started and throwing him/her in there against a person who has way more experience.

I reckon that can be another way to build up super stars "Rizin  new super stars "
I'm primarily talking about people who have really just started their combat sports career and not necessary some one who has done another combat sport .

List looks amazing but I think Kinosis is right, just fan suggestions so far.

Let's blow that twitter up with who we want in the tournament. I'm giving a tweet for Bedorf.

I think anyone who has competed in RIZIN before or is on the list of promotion representatives is probably in. This was a good way to gauge their fanbase. Prochazka, Aliakbari, Sidelnikov, and Aukstoulis are probably good bets to be in

Looking better and better.

Rizin really seems to be putting some good shows together.

Lots of good possibilities how this will play out.

Good idea.

Some suggestions of the fighters I'd like to see:

Wand Silva
Baruto
Cro Cop

Vitaly Minakov
Blagoy Ivanov
Sergei Kharitonov
Karol Bedorf
Bobby Lashley
Mark Hunt
Brandon Vera
Rampage Jackson
King Mo
Jiri Prochazka
Rousimar Palhares
Alexander Shlemenko
Brock Lesnar
Peter Aerts
Jerome LeBanner
Kiril Sidelnikov
Viktor Nemkov
Mark Godbeer
Ken Hasegawa
Anatoly Tokov
Jung Hwan Cha
Riki Fukuda
Brandon Halsey

Champions and top contenders at MW, LHW, HW, SHW from promotions in the Rizin Federation (Jungle Fights, BAMMA, KSW, Bellator, ROAD FC, KUNLUN,...).  I'd also like to see new prospects similar to typical JMMA GPs.  I'd like to see top fighters from different disciplines as well, such as BJJ, Judo, kickboxing, sumo, wrestling, boxing,...

Croatian MMA site (reliable source) says that confirmed fighters for GP are (some new):
Kazuyuki Fujita (15-11) vs. Baruto Kaito (1-0)
Mirko Cro Cop (31-11-2, 1 NC) vs. ???
Jiří Procházka (17-3-1) vs. ???
Amir Aliakbari (2-0) vs. ???
Teodoras Aukštuolis (9-3) vs. Kenneth Bergh (4-0)

Amir Aliakbari in GP is interesting!

Awesome, well that is half of the people in the GP right there.  Plus Wanderlei Silva who has a bye in the first round.

I assume Cro Cop will get someone pretty easy, because they are going to want him in the final 8.  I wouldn't even mind Cro Cop vs Jaideep, it could be a very interesting stand up fight.

It's really unfortunate Wanderlei got hit by that car and had his comeback derailed.  It's going to be a very tough road for him jumping into the final 8 after having so many years off.  A warm up fight would have been good for him in the first round.

Since Jerry Millen confirmed Fedor is not in the tournament, I think we can assume the Russian MMA Union representative will be Kirill Sidelnikov, who has already fought in Rizin twice and was in the EFN co-promoted event.

I would like to see Vadim Nemkov as Russian MMA Union representative.

btw CroCop told that if he loses in 1st round he will probably anyway fight on NYE but believes in taking GP.

^Nice.  Actually I was thinking about that.  Even if Cro Cop loses in the first round, there is always that HUGE rematch with Fedor that can be made.  Even if Fedor fights somewhere else for his next fight (Bellator, EFN), win or lose, I'm sure he will be in Japan on NYE.  Rizin has to make that fight at some point in time.

It's coming together well. Half the GP setup. Sherdog is talking about a UFC GP and I think it was also mentioned on Inside MMA.

Nemkov or Kirill are good options.

Good to hear Cro Cop is likely on NYE show win or lose.
