From the video i watched seems like krazy horse was saying i knocked your ass out and wanderlei seems to be saying come over here and do it or something like that . Do people on here think he actually kod him ? or just caught him with a sucker punch ? or something .

^Crazy horse claims he KO'd him during a backstage fight crazy horse was having with one of Wand's teammates. The thing is, crazy horse was choked unconscious by that teammate (triangle choke if I remember correctly) so it's kind of hard to believe that during the middle of a fight with another person, crazy horse KO'd Wand and then got choked out. Also, after being unconscious, who knows if crazy horse even remembers things properly. Even if he did KO him as he claims, it would have been sucker punching him as he is standing in the crowd watching a fight. Not really something to brag about.

Kron was dang impressive dominating someone of Tokoro's level in his third MMA fight. Who does Kron fight next? Hopefully he will be back on one of the year end shows. I'd like to eventually see him and Aoki fight for the title at 145 or 160lbs.

Anyone know what's next for Baruto? He'll be moving forward in the tournament now. Will he be getting a better opponent now? [Not anything against Fujita, but, dude's getting old.]

^According to what was listed before the event, he should have been scheduled to fight Cro Cop next, but doesn't look like that is happening now. Not sure who he gets matched up against next. Not sure he can beat anyone remaining.

Personally, I think matching him up against Cro Cop next round would have been the best move. He would get props for stepping up against a legend and Cro Cop would be moving on to the next round. If he somehow beat Cro Cop he becomes an instant huge star and could fight Wand in the round after that. Having Baruto get smashed by any of the other young guys doesn't really do anything for him.

I think Krazy Horse was claiming that he KO'd Wand before the Youtube video started rolling and before the second fight happened and that Wand edited that KO out of the video prior to sharing on the Internet.

Was nice seeing Kron dominate on the ground with someone the caliber of Tokoro in MMA and get the finish.

Aoki fight makes perfect sense with their BJJ history. NYE would be nice.

Baruto is the best sumo-tori to fight in MMA and the first real legit one (Akebono was a yokozuna, but he was worn out from a long sumo career. Baruto had his career shortened by knee injuries, and he was a long-time Ozeki--which is one below yokozuna).

He's in good shape for being 400 pounds and showed he can go 10 minutes.

He's game as anyone, and could possibly win the tournament. He needs to learn how to finish fights better though.

There was suppose to be an additional opponent for Wanderlei to fight, that could become Baruto's new opponent.

I'm nominating Fedor Wink

Good sumo breakdown Nodo. I'd like to see Baruto also work on his cardio some more. I think he could have finished that fight in the 1st with just a bit more gas. It is good to see he is continually improving though.

I like Baruto and I don't want to see him be just some freakshow fighter. I would like to see him succeed in MMA. It is just his second fight, but hopefully he can gradually get some tougher opponents. I think his size alone is enough for him to be a challenge for most anyone.

However, I will say that I would rather see him in Ganryujima. There his style is more likely to gain him some wins.

One thing, I would rather not see, is Baruto losing his sumo base and just looking like an oversized mma fighter. Boring. I don't like it when these crossover fighters wind up fighting mma and using zero techniques from their original base. Like John Makdessi forgeting how to throw Taekwonndo kicks after joining Jackson's or Yi Long really looking like any other kickboxer in spite of his Shaolin background.

That would be a good setup to the next round. Hope they get someone better than Thompson to fill that last spot though.

Yeah I used colossus because they might try to push baruto to the finals and James is a pride fighter.....

Maybe satoshi ishii is the last participant???

Ishii would be a big step up from Thompson. I think Baruto would have a decent shot at winning that one.

As a 400 pounder he'll always inherently have cardio problems. He's hauling a lot of mass around the ring. He has to pace himself. But he doesn't have a big arsenal with respect to submissions (he probably requires his own style of submissions) and really damaging strikes.

Baruto was a judoka before he got into sumo.

Yeah, I wonder how good his cardio could actually get with that much weight to carry.

I wasn't aware of his judo background. That's interesting. Baruto could be the first real solid sumo threat in this sport. I'd like to see it.
