^I like the setup. Bigger name fighters get a bye to NYE is something different.

^There are probably reasons for it. Like Wand being hit by a car and not being ready by Sept. Actually, it would have probably of been better for Wand to get an easy fight in the first round just to work out some of the rust. Hopefully it's not too much for him coming back in December to a high level guy after so many years off. Maybe they will give him the easiest of the remaining fighters in the top 8.

That's right, that car accident could definitely be why his fight is scheduled in December.

From CroCop's last interview it seems Fedor will not be in GP.

Rematch with Fedor?
Maybe after GP but there was no talk about it.

Hey, he knows about openweight tournaments. Sure, he lost in the first round of PRIDE's Openweight Grand Prix in 2006 but he won the DREAM Super Hulk Tournament in 2009.

Don't you love how the zombies still believe the UFC is the place where the best fight the best but are making no attempt to send someone into this grand prix? Surely, a UFC gatekeeper should breeze through this, right?

Probably not likely but doable. There are new owners and they could try to work out some kind of profit share and just send over a mid-tier fighter. It would be good for MMA in Japan and the fans would love it.

Oh yeah of course they really wanted to put their money were their money is they should send one of their top 5 that guy should tear through everyone ufc elite all that  . If they sent a gate keeper and that gate keeper does good or even won the zombies and the zombie media will go on for days about how ufc and its fighters are so above everyone else , were as if they sent a top 5 and that guy struggles or someone from another org gives them a tough fight even if they won the tournament  they can't really go on about how the ufc is above everyone especially if said fighter didn't breeze right through it .

One of the things that built the UFC is lies. The UFC is an island to themselves cause they can't run the risk and let their house of cards fall. That along with the fact that Dana would probably want to make another bet with Sakakibara and then welsh on it when he loses.

Exactly they have been for years brainwashing people with their ufc fighters are above everyone else which isn't true they do have elite guys not saying they aren't but this notion of them being on some mystical plateau is crap , same with the other one of this guy improved cause he signed to the ufc fighters get better by training hard learning from their mistakes and trying to improve Dana still salty I say about that bet and no way sakkakiaba would sell rizin to the ufc .

I know, the mental gymnastics people have to go through. Even brainwashed zombies are pathetic cause at what point do you have enough evidence against it? How many more WEC, PRIDE, Strikeforce, and Bellator fighters have to beat "elite UFC" fighters or win UFC Championships before they realize that UFC doesn't have all the best fighters? Of course, when they do win belts then they claim that they're UFC fighters now. I agree, what the fuck changes when you go to the UFC? Do you become Super Saiyan or something? Do you become a Power Ranger and given a morpher only to be stripped of your powers when you leave?

Sakakibara won't sell cause look what happened the last time. Say what you will about the guy and I know some people made accusations against him and yakuza ties but he still loved PRIDE and I believe he thought he was doing the best thing when he sold it. He even said in the press conference to please take care of PRIDE. Dana White and Lorenzo Ferritita looked him and the DSE execs in the eye and promised they would keep it going and they lied through their teeth as they shut it down and ravaged the remains. I also don't believe the claims that Zuffa were going to keep it going only to be kept out by the Japanese.

Sakkikabra was definitely screwed over by them you could tell with Dana's giant smirk that pride was getting shut down  , I don't think for a second sakkikabara was crime boss that just bullshit fed from the Ufc media . After all that Japanese reporter who appeared on nhb even said the police came down on the yakuza and its all but near collapsed something to that effect .  Yes it is a revolving door with them and talk about a bunch of band waggoner's

If they send someone I would say Roy Nelson would be a good level talent wise (along with some name power). That'd being said I am sure we all know this doesn't have a snowballs change in heck of happening. The UFC does fighter lend though...

...to sabatoge Rizin. When they lent Yamamoto to Kyokugin that really showed how threatened they are by Rizin.

How great would it be if they released Hunt as a free agent and Rizin got him for this tournament?

Good video. Fans there seemed to love seeing Cro Cop back.

Two more events on NYE - 29 Dec and 31 Dec. it looks like from the video. Looking forward to it already!
