Belfort Says Reebok Deal Left Him Pretty Much Living in Slavery

Post by CDF47 on Mon May 09, 2016 3:43 pm

In a recent interview with Bloodyelbow, Vitor Belfort stated, "MMA is a lot closer to entertainment than sport these days. I'm not satisfied with the way the company is handling sponsorship. We are pretty much living in slavery. We can't use our own sponsors, they are banned inside the Octagon. We have no properties."

It would be good if he wins until his contract is up and then use his name in Rizin and Bellator. Well, who am I kidding? I want all the big names to leave the ufc, have it lose tons of money and be bought out by decent human beings.

I want UFC to go out of business and I don´t want anyone to buy the brand and keep it alive. UFC is the cancer of mma. All martial artists should compete in their sport and the best from each combat sport should fight each other in style vs style matchups in Rizin.

He means buy them out like ufc did to orgs and just then rape them of fighters and never actually use the brand.

Bellator buying out ufc would be so fucking funny man.

I like the style vs. style matches as well and the marital arts aspects of the sport which is done really well in Japan.

Other promotions had better be keeping an eye on all these disgruntled fighters.

Based on who is available Belfort v Carvalho is the fight for Rizin or Bellator to make.

^I agree. Coker said after the Reebok deal was finalized he was getting numerous phone calls from disgruntled fighters.
