UFC failed tests

Post by Kinosis on Tue Jul 05, 2016 11:10 pm

40% of #UFC's top 10 Greatest 200 fighters have tested positive for recreational drugs, PEDs or other USADA Anti-Doping Policy violations.

This was posted on Karim Zidan's (MMA reporter) twitter page. It's pretty funny since a common false narrative used by zuffa zombies is that Pride was full of steroid cheats, implying that the ufc was clean, because they did testing (that the athletes knew exactly when they would be tested until recently).

The top 10 fighters that is referring to is from this poll I believe http://www.ufc.com/news/ufc-200-greatest-fighters-fan-poll-may-2016?id=

The poll is a joke anyway with some of the people on there.

From what little I've read Karim Zidan is the second real journalist covering MMA, after The godfather Eddie Goldman, of course.

I don't think he's a native English speaker and some of his stuff could use a bit of editing but that's on the webmasters not him.

Too bad the Zuffa Zombies didn't give a fuck about them getting reinstated. They only cared about Helwani but I guess they need someone up Dana's ass.

There should have been a Zombie outcry for those two as well, I agree. Gross' issues started pre-Zombie era though.

The Jon Jones stuff is the hit that keeps on going. As mentioned on the forum, you have Zuffa Zombies always bringing up how PRIDE didn't drug test and they could do whatever they want. Now, we have in recent memory, a guy that has been considered the best in the world now (Jon Jones), a guy considered by UFC to be the greatest of all time (Anderson Silva), a former UFC Champion (Lyoto Machida), a three time UFC Title Contender (Chad Mendes), and a guy who had been in the UFC for 15 years while being a former champ (Frank Mir). I think you can argue the UFC is just as filthy as PRIDE was. Maybe more giving the UFC has seen title contenders, former champions, top ten fighters, a guy considered the best right now, and the guy considered the greatest of all time.

Wonder if this can be a source of fighters for Rizin. Lesnar just popped positive and only had a 1 fight contract, maybe he can fight in Rizin when his WWE contract is up?

^I'd say multiple fighters will have to go to Japan or Russia, etc if they are banned in the U.S. for years. That or change careers.

^Yeah, Shlemenko went to Russia and Palhares went to Italy so they can keep making money to feed their families. This is a tough one since they did get caught on PEDs.

Palhares is fighting Materla first. If he wins I could see him fighting Khalidov for the belt.

Yeah, Shlemenko should be returning to Bellator soon it sounds like.

After his M-1 wins, I agree, he should be right up there with the top Bellator contenders.
