Dana being gone would be fantastic. He has already taken a backseat for the last few months.

This is just like the pride sale. Suckers think it's going to keep going. Meanwhile the rug will be pulled out. MMA will die like MMA died in Japan. THank god. MMA sucks.

Dana still owns a minority stake in the company, as do the Fertitta brothers. At the price the company was sold for I assume they own a very small minority stake in the company. Still possible to replace Dana as president though if they decide, I would guess.

Dana gets 9% cut of all profits for next 5 years of his contract. If he is not successful, I'd imagine they replace him pretty quickly.

I read in an article that Dana expects to take on even more responsibility in the company since he will be assuming Lorenzo's roles as well.  He said he and Lorenzo would split the tasks in the past but now he has full responsibility.  I remember he said he was already working crazy hours everyday so not sure how this will work.

Dana is one of the last people I would want to give responsibility to. I can see him crack and eventually act even more irritable if that's possible.

It does sound like a lot of pressure for anyone from the way he was talking in that article. Not sure how he will hold up to that.

Wouldn't surprise me. Dana just signed a five year contract so now they have him under a deal which means if they decide to send him home that they can hold him to a contract and prevent him from going elsewhere like a no complete clause that Coker and Sakakibara had.

With Dana out of the picture the athletes might be allowed to wear footwear again. Rumor was that it was Dana's gay foot fetish that was responsible for the last minute change to no footwear allowed in the unified rules.

Welcome to G-MMA. Wouldn't mind seeing that and knees added if they could get the athletic commissions to go for that. 12-6 elbow should be one of the first thing to go in the unified rules.

Thanks. Glad to be here. Yeah the old shootfighters like Shamrock and Tamura used to like to latch onto shoes, moon boots etc when they went for leg submissions. I think we might see some of that again if they brought back shoes.

Thanks, glad to be here. I'm afraid I haven't really been following mma the same way I used to these past three or four years. Lost interest big time, starting to get it back a bit though.

Say, does Dagwood still post here? He's really the only guy I know at this forum.

^I was the same way. Actually, until Rizin was announced and Fedor came back, I almost didn't watch any MMA at all besides a fight here and there when one of my old favorites was fighting.
