Bellator MMA continue to grow with new international deals

California-based mixed martial arts promotion Bellator MMA continues to grow and expand its brand across the globe and on Wednesday, it took another step in becoming more of a major player in one of the world’s fast-growing forms of entertainment in sports.

Electus, a multimedia entertainment studio, an operating business of IAC, announced that Electus International has secured new broadcast deals for Bellator, which is owned by Viacom. The new deal will allow fights fans in Australia (Spike), Japan (AbemaTV), Russia (Match), China (LeEco), Africa (MBC), South Korea (KBSN), Benelux (Spike) and Bulgaria (bTV) to watch Bellator events as they unfold.

“Bellator continues to enjoy explosive growth overseas where we are now in over 140 countries and have entered into numerous foreign event partnerships,” said Eddie Dalva, Executive Vice President, Content and Program Enterprises, Viacom Music and Entertainment and Bellator MMA.

The announcement comes on the heels of previously-revealed deals that will allow the MMA giant to be viewed in United Kingdom (Channel 5), Canada (RDS), Australia (Network Ten), France (AB Groupe), Portugal (SIC), Italy (Discovery), Portugal (SIC), Croatia (Fight Channel), South East Asia (Celestial Tiger), Israel (Ananey), Poland (NC+), Latin America (Fox Sports), Brazil (Esporte), Russia (Russia 2), Middle East (OSN) and New Zealand (Sky).
