Gilbert Yvel vs Ivan Shtyrkov booked for Feb. 18 in Russia. The Hurricane (39-16) will head to Chelyabinsk, Russia, to throw hands with undefeated local product Ivan Shtyrkov (7-0) for RCC Boxing Promotions on Feb. 18, 2017, in what is expected to be the event headliner.

Yvel is still fighting in the lesser known orgs. I thought his career would turn out better.

Really happy that Yvel is still competing thought he was retired after his KO of
Houston Alexander and by the looks of things he is taking on solid opponents,if
he picks his punches and doesn't make any erratic moves he has a chance of winning here.

I'd like to see him do good as well. I'm surprised he's still fighting. He is an old vet.

In a statement released Monday, the RCC said that Gilbert Yvel (39-16) suffered a muscle injury during his training cannot fight against Ivan Shtyrkov (7-0), Shtyrkovr still will fight on this card. Shtyrkovr will meet Rodney Wallace (26-13) in the main event.
