Is WSOF finally dead???

Apparently the owners status is now a former mma promoter meaning either the company was bought and has new owners yet to be revealed or they are finally dead.

Also i heard marlon moraes is in negotiations with the ufc which is wierd because he renewed his contract in wsof before the nye show.

Hope they are dead fighters can go where people will watch them.

Hopefully. They were just a subset of the UFC. I doubt WME-IMG sees any real reason to keep them around.

I read on Sherdog that Moraes, Branch, and Gaethje may all be leaving and Fitch announced that he may be retiring.  That would be 4 champions in 5 divisions (Branch is 2 division champion) leaving at the same time.  Not sure what their plans would be losing most of their champs at the same time.  It's not looking good if this is true.  The March event may be their last, unless it is cancelled and WSOF is folded.

It seems like this might be it this time with the rumor of most of their champs leaving. Hard to rebound from that, in addition to the main issues of financial problems, lawsuits, ratings issues, attendance,... If they do fold, it's likely a number of their champs and top fighters will go to UFC but I'd also like to see Bellator and Rizin and the other orgs. pick some of them up. They have a really good roster.

As good as all this sounds if WSOF is affiliated with UFC in anyway you can be
sure that the champs will be going there maybe for the exception of Fitch but
then again his game relies heavily on the cage so Rizin probably wouldn't suit him
well.

I can't understand why fighters are so obsessed with fighting in the UFC,its not like they will be respected or paid well, all one has to do is look at co main eventers and main card fighters and you will see that a lot make $ 25 000
to show and another $25 000 to win that doesn't sound worth it and then
you have CM Punk making $ 500 000,the point is that there are organizations
around the world that will pay fighters what they deserve and not make them jump threw rediculous hoops that UFC does and sign contract where there basically owned.

Some might say that UFC has the best fighters which is true but only because they have the largest roster which is made up of fighters from other organizations that the UFC and their fans belittle and this is also one of the main reasons that Rizin will have to build there own talent.

I know, that's what I don't want to happen.  They have so many good fighters would be nice to see them get spread out across the major orgs.  I am sure some will go to UFC which is fine and will be good to see them compete there but I really want to see some of these fighters in Bellator, Rizin,..... Would suck if they were all just swooped up by one org.

Guys like gaethje won't just go to ufc i think he's smart enough to go to free agency guy like him woukd cause a bidding war.

There are a good amount of vets and good prospects to pick up from wsof and spread around im sure a fair amount of orgs will be picking up some of their fighters.

I agree totally fka. I think all these WSOF champs, contenders, and prospects will be shopping their worth with all the major orgs. to try to get the best deal out there for them.
