why not get rid of the cage

why not get rid of a scoring system that favors wrestlers and lay and pray

knees and soccer kicks make this happen!!!

I'm 46, own a house, two cars, an e-wife and one kid who's probably your age and have been following MMA closely since I had to buy bootlegged video tapes on VHS to watch it. There was no publicly available internet then. A local bar finally started getting PPV satellite feeds when you had to have an 8ft dish to get them. After that I had to trade copied data cd's and trade them with people in forums either by mail or over dial-up internet would have taken 12 years to upload and 4 yrs to download those files.

I'm was born the same year as Bas Rutten and am older than Royce Gracie or Dan Henderson (by 5 yrs). At least your not calling me an MMA-hipster for following non-UFC fighters & organizations like some elsewhere have. Haha!

I agree soccerkicks are good against wrestlers. I loved PRIDE and wouldn´t want to change anything, I guess if the ref is great soccerkicks could be useful and good for the fights. I like variety and it´s cool to see different rules and techniques. I´ll have to see what the future ONE events look like before I can make up my mind.

@dagwood I'm not questioning you or passion for mma even if you agree with soccer kicks or not

I'm talking about fans who just watch UFC being shocked by soccer kicks and bitching about it being illegal

This guy tried to imitate Jon Jones and abuse the hands on the floor rule. Guess what happened.

It was more then fair IMO. Makes the fight more realistic and it's not wrestler biased. The guy was fully aware, so in this case is ok, but in Huerta's case the fight should have stopped before the kick. So, the problem was not really the rule but a bad call from the referee.

Late stoppages are the true problem, this one don't have soccer kicks and is by far worst

I completely agree. If the ref is flawless soccerkicks should be no problem.

The ref in the Warren fight was horrible and should have stopped it way earlier.
