Now imo Garner will have to give Gluhov a title shot outside of the tournament, thats the way it worked in PRIDE and M-1 should follow tradition.

no way imo, Gp winner imo deserves #1 and volkov #3 he hasn't even defended his belt. #2 should be GP runner up.

#1 josh barnett..............

gp winners are often not the best fighters on the field......

for example kazuo misaki won a pride gp after getting whooped by filho and imo he has never been ranked above hendo who did not won the gp.....

for example imo kenny garner beat gluhov, he dominated 2/3 of the fight and all of the sudden gluhov wins the gp and becomes the #1 guy...makes 0 sense

Of course Barnett will be #1 but until then there will be someone else. Gluhov won against Garner by M-1 judging criteria. Who do you think should be #1 at HW after the GP if we don´t count Barnett?

What does Koreshkov have to do to break top 10? IMO he should be top 10 already. 13-0 against decent competition, probably has some of the best striking/hands at WW. I believe he's supposed to face Askren, though I don't expect him to win so it seems as though it'll be a long time before he's top 10?

I got Gluhov top 3 just over Garner due to that win. Garner is ranked 4. Winner of the GP will be top 2 or 3.

I don't have Ka ranked yet but he was impressive. I would have to drop Minakov to get Ka in there. Ka fights the winner of Monson/Malikov so if he gets a win there he will be top 6 or 7.

I had to drop Razmadze for Gluhov to keep Minakov in there. Raz hasn't fought forever and he is still a free agent so he deserved to drop.
Raz is a super HW so its not a big loss, actually it´s a big loss but you know what I mean Razz

He has potential if he would actually fight. I hope he signs to ONE, M-1, or KSW.

I agree. I wish the title would have been turned over with that fight since Gluhov now out ranks Garner.

That's doable except runner up will be below Volkov and Sergei.

Yeah, we can do that. I will drop Kharitonov now so next month Volkov will be number 1 but GP winner can over take the spot.

Yeah, it sucks having him be in limbo for so long already. Wish he and Rampage would sign deals soon so we can see them fighting again and get them up on our rankings.

He is basically 11 right now. If he wins that fight with Askren he will be number 1. If he loses I won't drop him at all (he will remain at 11). There are some guys directly ahead of him that have fights coming up soon so if one of them lose, they could drop to contenders and Koreshkov could be number 10.

Anyone catch the Drysdale fight at Legacy? First round sub. of D.J. Linderman. 6-0 w/ 6 first round subs. Pretty impressive at 205.

Campuzano might very well be on the top ten next month. I just find it hard dropping Shimizu after such a solid victory. I might be throwing a curveball and might go as far as dropping Sunabe due.to.losses to Shimizu and despite a relatively long winning streak, its been against VERY underwhelming opposition.

Its just hard to keep Campuzanp out too since his victory over Sampo grows more impressive every passing month. Since that loss to Campuzano, Sampo has defeated a very strong Banuelos and perennial top ten fighter Vila, further legitimizing the win for Campuzano.

Campuzano has been impressive. Number 10 or 11 would make sense. If Shimizu remains at 10, Campuzano would be fine at the top of the contenders at 11. That would be a jump of 2 for the title defense (decision victory) which makes sense.

Yup, for sure. Champs of the major orgs. will get the most weight followed by tournament winners from Bellator, M-1, and ONE FC.

Choose the top 3 order for HWs as of today. Keep in mind, even though Sergei hasn't lost, he will be dropping from the top spot starting next month since he hasn't been fighting and these other fighters are going through tournaments and title fights.

What do you think of this order below as of today:

Alexander Volkov (Bellator Champion)
Konstantin Gluhov (M-1 Global)
Sergei Kharitonov (DREAM)

I just added tournament winners to the rule which allows champs to move up without limits starting next month when I post it. Revised ranking rule below:

* A fighter can move up a maximum of two spots with impressive victories over a fighter ranked below him; however, there is no limit if the fighter earned a title or a tournament championship with the victory.

Personally I'd go:

1. Volkov
2. Monson
3. Gluhov

Garner dropping to 4th. Monson beat Aleks where Gluhov got handled. Due to Grabowski's recent competition he should be no higher than 5. Should Gluhov or Monson win the tourney they should get the #1 over Volkov until his next performance in Bellator. You could jumble in Sergei between 6th-8th, seriously his inactivity in MMA should really hurt his ranking IMO.
