Cain Velasquez -- 2 years, 6 months (2nd stint; 3 yrs, 7 mos)

80% of that was spent injured

he's no GOAT

Yeah they shoved that one down people's throats he was the new breed as they say and he was beaten by a UFC reject as they called him a couple of years ago .

But in that time, he had 3 wins vs Top 10 Ranked opponents.  Give em credit for that.
All in proper context.

Some guys had injuries they had to recover from for a while...
Some guys didn't have a Promotion Org to fight under for a while...

All while they were STILL the CONSENSUS #1 HW in the world.

Cain was good and had some really big wins and he does not suck but he was injured 90% of time and his last title defense was in 2013!
