Josh Barnett never to fight in UFC... even if he wins SFGP

@RTT, while you are right from a $$ standpoint I understand. but wouldnt you atleast wanna see him somewhere else to help the market grow?

I'm not so sure. They've had 4-5 years to bring Barnett over to the UFC. What's going to change with Dana now? Barnett is one of the few, if not only, fighters that has publicly went at Dana for his BS. I'm not so sure his win over Sergei & Brett Rogers has made him a bankable enough name in the U.S. market to override Dana's ego. Just sayin'.

UFC is a business and they only care about profits, not about the fighters well being. With that said, with the current state of the massive UFC marketing hype machine, they are capable of turning Josh into Brock 2.0. Both have wrestling backgrounds, they are both about the same height, good mic skills, and both did pro wrestling. The only difference is that Josh actually has the skills to become a scary LEGIT champ. Josh is american and the UFC absolutely love american fighters because they know the market is so big in the US.

Josh Barnett is not "new breed" enough for the Zuffa owners; Brock looks the part, whereas Josh does not. Also, Brock is far more popular due to WWE. Chael Sonnen has "mic skills" as well, but Dana is not his biggest fan...

Josh is going to fight in the UFC. The UFC will not let a draw like him out of their own pockets.
